Monday
At the mansion, Adam started to apologize to Brooke, mistaking Annie for her in the darkened parlor. Annie demanded to know what had happened between Adam and Brooke. Adam was evasive and left. JR approached Annie about their trip to D.C. to testify before Congress. Adam left a message for Brooke.
Erica stonewalled Greenlee's efforts to find out about the accident. Erica begged Greens to drop it after detailing the suffering Ryan experienced in the wake of the accident. Jack left a message imploring Erica to get Kendall to come home to face the music with Greens. Greenlee came to see Jack in search of the answers Erica and David wouldn't supply. She was upset when he was tight-lipped.
David revealed to Liza that Kendall was the driver who sent Greenlee careening off the road. He refused to get himself acquitted by revealing the truth to Greenlee, convinced that it would destroy her. After Liza left, Erica arrived. They agreed that to protect Greenlee and Kendall, respectively, the truth about Kendall being the driver could not come out. Erica was shocked when David told her that he had decided to take the plea bargain. "You keep Kendall far, far away," ordered David. Jack then paid a visit to David, angry that he had lied to Greenlee (Jack was convinced that the truth would ultimately come out anyway). David noted that Greenlee was likely to think that Kendall had tried to kill her. Later, Erica left a message for Kendall, urging her to call her back; Greens caught the tail end of the message.
Tad started work at the casino. Madison asked Ryan to join her for a drink; he declined, then asked Tad to keep an eye on Madison. Madison asked Ryan to float her a loan; he declined that, as well. He suggested that they take a walk after confronting her about her gambling habit. She got upset and stormed out; he followed. Ryan told Madison that he wanted to help her, if she would let him. She ran off, upset.
Damon texted while driving and crashed his car with Colby as a passenger. Angie and Jesse's romantic evening was cut short when Jesse got word of the accident. Angie phoned Tad with the news that Damon and Colby were being brought to the hospital. Liza got a call about her daughter. Jake tended to Damon while Angie examined Colby. Damon was in worse shape than Colby. The teens were desperate to know how the other was faring.
Annie was upset that Adam had left without telling her. JR continued to lay it on thick with Annie. Scott interrupted a somewhat close moment between them and he demanded to know what was going on. Annie excused herself to go work on her speech. Scott told JR that he knows what he's up to. JR scoffed that the plan was already working. Scott warned JR that the scheme would blow up in his face. Scott got off a phone call with Palmer when Annie returned to the room. JR helped Annie with her speech. To his surprise, he was moved by her tale about donating her bone marrow.
At the hospital, Adam and Liza pressed Colby for info on the accident. Colby admitted that Damon was driving. Jake told Damon and Tad that Damon needed surgery on his broken arm. Damon insisted to Tad that the accident wasn't his fault. Just then, the driver of the other car was brought in, in bad shape: It was Brooke! Adam was horrified when he saw Brooke unconscious; Angie ordered him to leave the room but updated Adam on her condition. Angie agreed to let Adam see Brooke. He was emotional as he held an unconscious Brooke's hand. Jake gave Colby a clean bill of health. She ran into Damon's room, followed by Liza, who revealed to Tad that Brooke was in the other car. Tad rushed out, stricken. After he spoke to Brooke, Adam confronted him about Damon's role in the accident. Jesse showed Colby, Damon, Tad and Liza the cell phone that proved that Damon was sending a text while driving.
Tuesday
Greenlee heard Erica leaving a message for Kendall. Erica disconnected the phone when Greens tried to speak to Kendall herself. Greens accused Erica of trying to stop her from talking to Kendall because of Fusion and was stunned when La Kane announced that Kendall doesn't even know that Greenlee is alive. Greens warned Erica that she would find a way to get to Kendall and stormed out.
Colby covered for Damon when Jesse, Tad and Liza confronted Damon and Colby about Damon having texted while driving. Damon admitted his guilt when Jesse threatened to have the fingerprints tested. Angie entered to take Damon into surgery. Adam ranted to Frankie about Angie prioritizing Damon's care over Brooke's. Jesse and Tad fretted over Brooke's condition. Ryan arrived to support Tad.
JR and Annie continued to prep for the trip to Washington. Annie called Annie, who told her that he wasn't going to accompany her. Adam apologized to Colby for having lost his temper with her. Colby and Liza argued over Damon. Colby refused to walk away from Damon and asked Liza to keep representing him. Liza refused. After Colby fled, Tad came upon Liza and he told her not to take her anger out on his son. Ryan tried to console Liza and also took her to task for agreeing to represent David. Colby and Adam chatted in the waiting room and he ignored calls from Annie. Adam flashed back to his romance with Brooke. Angie told Tad and Colby that Damon's arm surgery had gone well. Angie asked Jesse to help Damon out with his probation officer. Jesse felt that what Damon needed was "a swift kick in the ass." Colby and Tad went to visit Damon, who asked how Brooke was. Frankie, meanwhile, told Adam, Jesse and Angie that Brooke had come through surgery with flying colors.
At ConFusion, Liza met with the D.A. to discuss David's interest in a plea bargain. Greenlee overheard and declared that her husband was not going to accept a plea deal. Greenlee told Liza that she was willing to testify. "See you in court," said the D.A. Greenlee and Liza joined forces to try to get David to go trial. Greens demanded that Liza give her the answers David was withholding from her. Liza admitted that there was another driver involved in Greenlee's accident.
Erica contacted Ryan, who said he didn't want to get involved in the Kendall/Greenlee drama. She went to the casino to implore Ryan to help her stop Greenlee from finding out about Kendall being the driver. Ryan said that he felt that Greens deserved to know the truth. Erica could not dissuade him of the notion.
Adam sent Colby home, then went to sit vigil at Brooke's bedside. "Thank God I didn't lose you," he said. Colby went home and told JR and Annie about the accident. JR was furious with Damon. Annie was more interested in the news that Adam was at the hospital with Brooke. Brooke stirred and Adam explained how she had ended up in the hospital. Annie's arrival interrupted their emotional conversation. Annie was vexed by the feeling that Adam was trying to get rid of her. Meanwhile, Angie told Tad that she thinks Damon needs a therapist. Annie returned home and JR pledged his support to her. Adam bade Brooke a good night and gazed upon her as she slept.
Wednesday
Colby questioned JR about his motives for going to D.C. with Annie. Annie entered and told JR and Colby that she doesn't think Adam came home the night before. Later, Colby confronted JR about having purchased surveillance equipment (she found the receipt in his room). JR revealed his plan to get Annie to make a move on him, then show the proof to Adam.
Brooke and Adam woke up in her hospital room. She was sore from surgery but told Adam that they needed to talk about the things he'd said to her in the park. She insisted that they were friends, nothing more. Adam handed Brooke a note from Damon, who wanted to meet her. Annie showed up to see Adam, who apologized for not having called the night before. However, Adam told Annie that he wasn't going to join her in Washington. Meanwhile, Brooke went solo to Damon's room. He apologized for his stupidity. She became overwhelmed with emotion after Damon copped to having been texting while driving. Aware that she was so upset because of Laura, Adam rushed to console his ex. Brooke and Adam bonded over her loss of Laura and his loss of Stuart.
At the casino, Tad updated Ryan on Damon and Brooke's conditions. Tad and Ryan discussed David's court date. Tad went to the hospital and Damon filled him in on his encounter with Brooke. Tad explained that Brooke had lost a daughter in a drunk driving accident. Damon was horrified that he had made Brooke relive that trauma.
Liza went to see David in his jail cell and fibbed that the D.A. wasn't going to allow a plea bargain. David was livid. Meanwhile, Greenlee summoned Natalia to Fusion and asked her to help her learn more about the other driver involved in her accident. Nat agreed to use her police access to help Greens learn more but was baffled to find out that the records had been sealed. Greenlee went into Erica's office to try to trick her into revealing the identity of the driver; Erica wasn't biting. After La Kane left, Greens enlisted Natalia to help her find Kendall, convinced that Kendall would tell her the truth about what happened that fateful night. Natalia thought they could track down Kendall using a photo that Kendall had e-mailed to Erica.
Erica went to see Ryan about Greenlee's determination to find out more about the accident. Ryan continued to think that honesty was the best policy, while Erica was equally insistent that Ryan was underestimating how vindictive Greenlee is. When they returned to Fusion, Erica realized that Greenlee had snooped around her office. Ryan broke the news to Erica that Greenlee could have used the name of the boat to determine Kendall's whereabouts. Erica decided to charter a flight to try to get to Kendall first.
Marissa was itchy to get home to JR and AJ. Krystal hid the front-page news about David's trial from their daughter. Marissa called JR, who told her about his trip to Washington. She was worried about him traveling so soon but he reassured her that he'd be fine. When he was off the phone, Colby pleaded with him not to jeopardize his marriage.
Krystal went to see David; Liza gave them some privacy. Krystal blasted David for his Marissa-related failures. David told her that he truly believed that the best thing for Marissa was distance from him, at least for the time being. Krystal left and Liza rejoined her client. Later, Greens showed up and told David that per his request, she wouldn't testify at his trial. He found her change of heart hard to swallow. She urged him to trust Liza in her absence, then bolted before telling David where she planned to go. Greenlee told Liza to do whatever it took to get David acquitted.
Thursday
Jake and Amanda brought Trevor over to Opal's for babysitting. Amanda ribbed Jake by pretending that her first photo shoot was going to involve nudity. The Martins then went to the photo shoot, where Randi told them that Erica had had to leave town suddenly. Amanda met her photographer, Ciro, who was bothered to learn that Amanda has no modeling experience. Brot followed Natalia from the police station to the photo shoot. He was surprised when Natalia admitted that she was going to model for real (not just as a Greenlee-related ploy). Ciro told Natalia that she had potential. After Amanda's shoot, she and Jake returned home to update Opal. Natalia, meanwhile, told Brot that she could be both a model and a police officer. Opal, Jake and Amanda watched footage from Amanda's shoot online. A mysterious person also watched the shoot and posted a comment under the name "AmandaFan."
Annie and JR got to their hotel in D.C. JR introduced Annie to Congressman Wilton. Colby called to warn JR against going through with his plan; JR was undeterred. Colby reported that Brooke had been released from the hospital and gone home with Adam. After their phone call, JR made a sizable contribution on the sly to the Congressman's reelection fund. JR then continued to try to work his way into Annie's good graces.
Adam took Brooke home. Liza arrived to subpoena Adam to testify at David's trial. Brooke asked Liza not to make Adam relive the pain of Stuart's death on the stand. Annie phoned and Adam claimed that Brooke was still at the hospital, but Annie heard voices and told JR that Adam had just lied to her. He feigned concern as Annie began to break down about her marriage. JR pledged his support. Unaware that JR was taping them, Annie confessed to JR that she and Adam haven't been intimate in a while and that she thinks he's falling back in love with Brooke. JR nearly kissed Annie but she pulled away and ran out of the room. JR grinned to himself.
Tad and Damon discussed the accident at the hospital. Damon's probation officer arrived. After their meeting, Tad told Colby and Angie that Damon might catch a break. Angie told Tad that she had consulted with a psychiatrist about Damon and urged Tad to try to talk Damon into seeing a professional. Liza arrived and was upset to find Colby and Damon getting along so famously. She then trash-talked Damon to his probation officer, who returned to Damon's room to say that he was going to come down hard on Damon.
Adam again broached the subject of his relationship with Brooke with her. She maintained that they were just friends. Adam then surprised Brooke with a Web conference with Jamie and Laura. Brooke was moved to tears.
Friday
In D.C., Annie and JR arrived back at the hotel overcome by success and
ready to celebrate with champagne. JR continued to shower Annie with
compliments, setting his plan in motion. Annie admitted to feeling like a
nuisance in Pine Valley and for much of her life. Annie said she would never
be able to change JR's opinion of her, but JR told her he was impressed by
what she did. Annie and JR thanked each other for how they've affected one
another's lives through JR's battle with cancer. Annie finally admitted she
gave the bone marrow to JR for selfish reasons, because she wanted to make
Adam love her more. JR suggested they should keep the feelings of hate in
the past and Annie agreed. Just after JR turned on the hidden camera in his
briefcase, Annie knocked on the door needing JR to zip up her dress. JR
told her she looked amazing, causing the sexual tension in the room to rise.
Annie and JR kissed passionately.
Before they went to the courtroom, Brooke kissed Adam on the cheek for
setting up a conference call between her and her kids. Liza wasn't confident
she could defend David without Greenlee's help. Using Jesse's testimony,
Liza proved there was no connection between David and the pills given to
Adam. Gayle Walker testified David had drugged Adam and that she helped take
care of Greenlee. Liza picked apart Gayle's testimony by using her feelings
for David causing her to admit to wanting revenge on David. On the stand,
Adam took responsibility for killing his brother, admitting he could not
blame David. He also admitted to hiding David from the authorities because,
despite everything, David is an "excellent cardiologist." "I was using him
to keep me alive," Adam said. The, the pain of discussing Stuart's death
caused Adam's health to deteriorate. As he tried to leave the stand, Adam
fell. As Adam lay unresponsive on the ground, David fought to free himself
to save Adam's life.
Jack, worried about Greenlee's whereabouts, went to see Ryan, who informed
him that Greenlee, followed by Erica, had gone to Spain to track down
Kendall. Jack couldn't believe Ryan let them go. He told Ryan that Greenlee
has always wanted him, but Ryan said he was done with it. Tad then showed up
at the casino and tried to help Ryan stop feeling bad for not going after
Greenlee. Ryan talked about how he missed his son and wants to see him.
As Tad offered to help track down Kendall, Ryan called Jack to tell him he
was on his way to Spain.
In Spain, Erica called Kendall from the airport to warn her, but just as
Erica told Kendall, "There's something you need to know," Kendall was
shocked to see Greenlee standing before her. Greenlee, with a look of
contempt, explained to Kendall what had happened and then backed away from
Kendall's loving embrace. Kendall told Greenlee no one, including Erica, had
told her Greenlee is alive. Greenlee confessed to marrying David, leaving
Kendall confused. When Erica arrived, Kendall was furious with her mother for
not informing her about Greenlee. Erica claimed it was to protect
Kendall because Greenlee had been acting irrational ever since she came
back. Kendall asked Erica to leave them alone to catch up. Kendall began to
confess to what happened between her and Ryan.
