All My Children Recaps

AMC Week of April 28, 2008

Monday

Annie told Ryan how scared she was after the break-in, and she hinted it could have been Richie. Emma came downstairs and said she was ready for school. Meanwhile at Zach and Kendall's, Kendall woke up to find Zach sitting next to her. He told her he was never leaving her — and now she knew that.

Greenlee came home with a surprise for Aidan. They had breakfast in bed, and then he left for work. Before Aidan got to the office, Tad asked someone to check in on a nurse named Hazel that worked for Greg Madden. He wasn't giving up on finding Kate. Zach walked in, followed shortly by Aidan. Zach told them he burned down the cabin, and handed Tad a check. Tad asked why, and Zach simply said it had to be done — Kendall had too many bad memories there. Zach hoped there were no hard feelings for his stealing Tad's partner, but that was the first Tad heard of Aidan's leaving to join Cambias. Zach left them alone to discuss it. As soon as he was gone, Tad incredulously wondered what Aidan was thinking. Aidan insisted everything would be fine, and promised he would still be on the case when Tad got a lead on Kate. They hugged and Aidan left.

Greenlee joined Kendall in the elevator at Fusion and confronted her about what was going on with Zach. Kendall told her she and Zach were great. She told Greens she had opened up to him, and that he was amazing. They had burned down the cabin in the woods, and now they could all move on. Greenlee agreed it was the right thing to do. At Fusion, Annie admitted to Babe that someone had broken into their house the night before, but asked her to keep it quiet. Kendall and Greenlee came in, nauseating the others with their complete happiness. Babe told Annie that since Ryan fell in love with Annie when he was protecting her, maybe he would fall in love with her again in the same way. Their conversation was interrupted by Amanda, who was watching a video of them pole dancing. The wheels turned in Annie's head. Annie got a call from someone and headed to the elevator. Richie was there waiting for her. He wanted to know what she was up to. She insisted she didn't tell Ryan he was the one who broke in, and left.

Angie was overwhelmed with happiness that her entire family was going to be together. She picked Cassandra up at the airport. Cassandra admitted she was nervous to meet Jesse. Meanwhile at the apartment, Jesse admitted the same thing to Frankie. Frankie filled him in on Cassandra. When Angie and Cassandra finally came home, Cassandra jumped into Frankie's arms in greeting, and then faced Jesse. "You're him," she marveled.

Richie was on the phone with the doctor, saying the Hep A drugs were working, but that it was the doctor's fault that he and JR got hepatitis in the first place. Opal walked in and Richie quickly hung up and greeted her. They chatted about his difficult tarot reading, and were interrupted by Ryan at the door. He told her he wanted to see Richie, and Opal left them alone. Ryan told him about the intruder and warned Richie to stay away from his family. Richie reminded Ryan of some of the things that had gone on between them. Ryan promised that if something happened to Annie or Emma again, he would remember him.

At Cambias, Josh brought Zach a ransom note. A man had been kidnapped from the Cambias-funded project in Africa, but they didn't know his name yet. Zach said they would go over there and get him released. He gave Josh the name of his contact in southern Sudan to get more information. Aidan walked in, and Zach told him he was going on a trip.

Tuesday

Cassandra told Jesse he seemed like a cool guy. They got along well, and Cassandra got settled into her new room. Jesse left Angie with the kids, and Cassandra told Frankie how scared she had been that she would never see him again when he went to Iraq. Angie joined Jesse in the kitchen, and told him how grateful she was that they were all together. Jesse showed her what he got in the mail — proof that he was alive. His license, social security card and other IDs had all arrived. Angie noticed something was missing: a marriage certificate. They decided they were going to have a big wedding, and when Frankie and Cassandra came in, they announced the news.

Aidan thought Zach was joking about sending him to Darfur. Zach assured him he was serious; a man needed their help. They discussed the details, and Aidan said he was in. Meanwhile, Josh visited Kendall at Fusion. He told her about the kidnapping in Darfur, and that Zach wanted Aidan on the job.

Greenlee met Jackson for dinner. He gave her a blank check for the wedding, and Greenlee warned him she could do a lot of damage. She explained that she wanted to buy a house for Aidan's wedding present. Jack told her he was helping out Carmen Morales, and Greenlee suggested she thought he would move on while Erica was in prison. When Aidan joined them, Jack got a call and excused himself. Aidan told Greenlee about his new mission. She quickly told him she wasn't going, but he told her he couldn't back out.

In solitary, Erica called out for someone to get her out of there. Next, she pretended she was doing a NEW BEGINNINGS show. Then she daydreamed that she was in Europe with Kendall, and then on date with Jackson. She found a ladybug, and talked to it. When it flew away, she panicked. Meanwhile, Carmen called Jack and told him he had to come get Erica out of solitary.

At the Chandler manse, a repairman came over to check out the stereo and said it couldn't have turned on by itself. Adam insisted the song came from that stereo. JR walked in just as Adam was saying the stereo played "You Are My Sunshine." Colby told JR that Adam was having the maid check all of his shirts. Adam told JR that someone had taken all the buttons off one of his shirts while he was sleeping. He also informed them that the other day he had poured himself a drink and the glass moved, and then went flying across the room. JR warned him not to use his mother in his games. Adam left the room to check on something, and Colby told JR to lay off their dad. JR talked about how much he missed Dixie. Adam came back in and told JR that Barry wanted to speak with him. After he left to take the call, Adam told Colby that Dixie was the reason JR didn't trust him. After JR got off the phone, he filled Adam in and went to leave. Colby caught up with him by the door and told him Adam needed them. Alone, Adam was slapped across the face...seemingly by nothing. Then a picture of Dixie fell to the floor.

Kendall confronted Zach about sending Aidan into a dangerous war zone. Zach insisted Aidan was the best man for the job. Greenlee burst in, wanting to know why Zach was trying to get her fiancé killed.

Wednesday

Jack arrived at the prison as Erica hallucinated in solitary. Jack spoke with a guard, who said she would pass his message along to the warden. The warden came out and told him Erica was in solitary because she had been receiving threats. Jack warned her she wasn't going to let her get away with this. He made calls trying to get help. Meanwhile, Samuel walked into Erica's cell, picked her up and carried her out.

Ryan talked to his therapist about moving back in with Annie and Emma.
Meanwhile at Fusion, Annie watched the pole dancing video. She came up with the idea to put the pole dancing footage into the presentation for the Japanese, so Kendall and Greenlee would fire her, and Ryan would feel bad for her. Ryan came to visit, and Annie pretended to be startled by him. She insisted she didn't want Ryan to look at her as someone who needed to be saved. Ryan told her that he told his therapist that ever since the break-in, he'd felt like he should have been there to protect her and Emma. He promised he would be there from now on. Annie asked what his therapist thought about him moving back in and he admitted she thought it might be too soon. Ryan suggested they take a family vacation. Though reluctant at first, Annie agreed in the end. Amanda and Babe talked about Annie's situation. Amanda said there was major drama going on with everyone — including Kendall and Greenlee.

Greenlee demanded to know what was going on. Kendall said she didn't want Aidan to go either. Greens told her if their friendship meant anything, she would convince Zach not to send Aidan. She pleaded with Zach, and Kendall chimed in. Finally, he relented. Meanwhile, Tad asked Aidan who he was going to save, and Aidan said he didn't know yet. Tad pleaded with him not to go. Eventually he gave up, and while Tad was in another room, Aidan got a message. He rushed out. When Tad came back in, he sat down to get back to work and noticed his picture of Dixie was missing.

Aidan showed up at Cambias, and Zach told him he was no longer going to Darfur. Aidan insisted he was — the man in trouble was Tad's brother, Jake. In Darfur, Jake sat alone in a cell.

Thursday

Angie wanted to know what Cassandra thought about Jesse. Cassandra said she was happy for her, and Angie thanked her being so understanding. She asked her to be her maid of honor. Cassandra agreed but wondered if Angie ever loved her father. Angie insisted she did, but Cassie knew that she never loved him as much as she loved Jesse. Angie told her about her and Jesse's love story. Meanwhile, Jesse got a check-up at the hospital. When Frankie saw Jesse's back he stopped: "What did they do to you?" They talked about the stuffed elephant, and then the wedding. Jesse asked Frankie to be his best man. Frankie happily accepted. Julia came to take Jesse for x-rays, and they talked about how fond of each other Kathy and Tad were. When the x-rays came back, Frankie told Jesse they were clean, and they both prepared to go home. Frankie was taking Cassie to The Comeback.

Tad told Krystal he was looking for his picture of Dixie. He thought someone was messing with him. He also said when he went to Dixie's grave he felt something. At the mansion, Adam wondered where the picture of Dixie had come from. When JR walked in Adam accused him of putting it there. JR swore he had nothing to do with it. JR told Adam he was freaking Colby out, and he had told her he would continue living in the mansion to look out for him. When Adam went to check with the guards to see if there had been any strangers around, JR called Krystal.

Kendall told Greenlee that Erica was in solitary. Greenlee thanked Kendall for standing up for her and Aidan to Zach. At the prison, Sam had a doctor check Erica out. Jackson rushed in and hugged her. She thanked them both for getting her out. Samuel asked the warden if he could have a word, and they left. Alone with Jackson, Erica admitted she wasn't okay. She told him about the nightmares. Samuel demanded to know why the warden had put Erica in solitary. She claimed she was concerned for Erica's safety. He let her know there would be a price to pay if she didn't put Erica back into the general population. When he walked out of the warden's office, Jack thanked him for his help. They rejoined Erica, who said they still had a lot of work to do, now that they know the prison was capable of doing this to anyone at anytime.

Robert thanked someone on the phone from a charity for sending over his wife Angie's information. He told them Angie simply didn't have any luck. He called them back when he realized the stuffed elephant wasn't on the list. They told him they had never received it. Meanwhile, Cassie took out the elephant and talked to it, telling it she was having a harder time with the Jesse thing than she let on. She also told it she was a virgin still. Frankie interrupted her little chat when he came home to take her out to eat.

Dre met Colby at The Comeback. He said he had been with his dad, and Colby was happy for him. They talked about their love lives, or lack thereof. Frankie and Cassie arrived at The Comeback and when she spotted Dre, she said she thought she could get used to this place. At home, Angie told Jesse that Cassie had agreed to be her maid of honor, and Jesse told her Frankie had agreed to be his best man. They talked about how nice it was to have peace. Little did they know the stuffed elephant was only feet away from them. Elsewhere, Robert insisted he wasn't going to share his diamond with Angie.

Kendall's phone rang, and Greenlee picked it up. It was Jack, saying Erica was all right. At the prison, the women greeted Erica happily when she was brought back.

When Adam rejoined JR he suddenly felt a chill. He asked if JR felt it. JR said he felt nothing. Krystal and Tad arrived, and JR told them he thought Adam had officially lost it. In the other room, Adam found Kathy's adoption certificate in the fireplace. He was shocked because he had burned it. Tad walked in as Adam talked to himself about the document, leading Tad to ask, "What document?"

Friday

JR told Adam he asked Krystal to come by because they were worried about him. Tad asked about Adam's document again. Adam quickly changed the subject. JR told them about the things Adam had been seeing. Tad thought all this was a ploy to get Krystal back in his home. Adam yelled for them to get out. JR took Tad and Krystal to the door, and Krystal and JR agreed they didn't think Adam was pretending. Alone in the room, Adam was convinced Father Clarence was behind this. He started talking to him (thin air, really). They watched him from the foyer, and saw him begin to eat the document he'd been holding. Tad was still not convinced it wasn't an act, and helped him eat it. Adam eventually threw them out again. Alone once more, he looked in a mirror and there she was: Dixie.

Frankie and Cassie joined Colby and Dre at The Comeback. Colby and Cassie hit it off immediately. Colby suspected Cassie was interested in Dre, and Cassie could clearly see Colby's crush on Frankie. They chatted for awhile, and then Frankie and Dre said they had to go. Colby offered Cassie a ride home. After they left, Dre told Frankie that his sister was hot.

Greenlee made dinner reservations for her and Aidan that night. Then she pulled out newly-bought lingerie. Meanwhile, Zach asked Aidan if he had told Tad about Jake. Aidan said he hadn't and they both agreed they should keep it quiet. Kendall burst in to tell Zach about her mom, and realized she had interrupted something. They told her Aidan was going to Darfur. After Aidan left, Kendall questioned what had changed things. Zach asked Kendall to trust him that he wouldn't send Aidan if he didn't have to. Aidan went home and told Greenlee he was still going to Darfur. Greenlee insisted he couldn't go. When he said he had to, Greens said she was going with him. He told her she would only be making it more dangerous for him if she did, and she backed down. He promised her he would come home. Kendall got a call from Greenlee, and she told her she already knew. After they hung up, Kendall said goodbye to Zach, saying she needed to go be with Greenlee. Greens and Aidan sadly said goodbye. Kendall arrived as they were kissing. Aidan left as Greenlee looked on tearfully.

Robert broke into Angie and Jesse's apartment looking for the stuffed elephant. Colby and Cassandra came home while he was in Cassie's room. They decided to go hang out at Colby's house.

In his cell, Jake tried to convince a guard that he was wasn't a soldier; he helps people. Later, they came in with an injured man and demanded Jake save him. Jake worked on him. Zach called Ryan and told him there was a situation he needed to talk to him about.
