AMC Recaps Week of October 1, 2007
Monday
At The Comeback, JR hit up Zach for money. Zach agreed to the loan, but only if JR agreed to get rid of Greenlee. He wanted JR to convince her to give up her Fusion shares. JR wondered how he would be able to do that, and Zach shared that he could give Greenlee something she wanted. He hinted that he hadn't destroyed her fertilized eggs. Outside, Ava laid into Jonathan about not lending JR the money. She thought he was trying to control her. Jonathan tried to explain himself, and ended up on his knees, proposing. Ava ran out.
Kendall managed to hide as Greenlee and Aidan entered the apartment and fell on to the couch kissing. Just as she was about to get an eyeful, Greenlee and Aidan were interrupted when Aidan got a call from Ryan. Ryan called to warn him that Richie was in Pine Valley, but the connection was bad due to a storm, and Aidan couldn't hear. Aidan left for the office. Alone, Greenlee put on the TV. Thinking she saw something, Greens prowled around the apartment, and when she left to change, Kendall got back to work on Greenlee's laptop. She finished up quickly, and left just as Greenlee came back into the room. Aidan returned and Greenlee greeted him with a knife in hand. He told her they were right about the guy in the picture, and Greenlee was thrilled. Aidan wondered why she was walking around with a knife, and she admitted she thought someone had been in the apartment. Aidan offered to spend the night on the couch. Greenlee accepted, and they picked up where they'd left off before Ryan's call. Meanwhile, at Fusion, Kendall began her revenge as she hacked into Greenlee's laptop. She created messages to Spike from Greenlee in a journal.
Annie tried calling Julia to ask about Emma and warn her about Richie, but Julia wasn't able to understand her because of the bad connection. Ryan left to find a way to get home, and after he left, Annie had flashbacks of being tortured by Richie as a child. Ryan came back and told her they were stuck because of the storm, but Annie insisted they had to get home immediately.
Wes told Babe that he'd moved to Pine Valley because a girl he'd grown up with liked it there. He told her his plans for the future, and Babe liked what she heard. They were interrupted by a call from Julia, asking if she could watch Emma the next day because Kathy was sick and Julia didn't want Emma catching it. Wes offered to keep Babe company while she babysat, and Babe agreed. Later, she called Julia and left a message saying she and Wes would be taking Emma and Little Adam out all day. Meanwhile, Wes broke into Ryan and Annie's apartment.
Tuesday
Erica and Jack talked about Greenlee and how much he worries about her.
Jack expressed his hope that since Greenlee and Kendall are working
together again, Kendall might be able to someday forgive her. Erica didn't
think that would ever happen, and Jack agreed it was wishful thinking. Jack
just wanted happiness for all his children. Erica was clearly moved by his
sentiments and quickly excused herself.
At Fusion, Babe asked if they could move their strategy meeting up because she has
a date. Ava walked in, freaking out about Jon's proposal, and all the women
were shocked. Ava became hysterical, and they all did their best to advise
her, which led to an argument between Greenlee and Kendall. Greenlee was
taken aback when Kendall laid into her, but Kendall quickly recovered.
At The Comeback, Krystal raved about Wes to Tad. Krystal said Babe deserved
an uncomplicated guy, and Wes had put a smile on her face. Meanwhile, inside
the bar, Wes looked at a picture of Emma. Krystal went inside and thanked
Wes for helping out on his day off. Hannah walked in and caught Tad's
attention. Soon after, Adam arrived, and Krystal immediately asked what he
was doing there. He said he was there for Stuart — he is heartsick about not
being able to come to her house. Krystal told him she couldn't continue to
look into the face of a man who looked just like her ex-husband, but she
eventually caved and agreed to let Stuart come over. Inside, Tad approached
Hannah while she played pool. He challenged her to a game — she accepted,
but she wonders if he is working her. Greenlee walked in and took a seat,
nostalgically watching two best friends at the bar. Wes called Babe to
confirm, and stuck a knife in his backpack. Shortly after, Babe arrived with
the kids. Wes convinced Babe to send Emma's bodyguard home, and the four of
them left for their picnic. As Wes carried Emma out, he told her she was
the spitting image of a girl he used to know.
Annie told Ryan she feared if they didn't leave right away — it would be too
late. She worried Richie would go after Emma. Ryan did his best to calm her
down and took her to meet with a man he hoped could help them. After
tellig a story about how much she loves her "sick" brother, Annie convinced
the man to try and arrange a Coast Guard evacuation. Ryan was impressed with
how well she lied. Annie said she'd had plenty of practice — when she was
little she pretended her brother was everything she wished he was. There was
a knock at the door. The man at the door told them they would be able
to get off the island.
Jon arrived at Jack's, where he ran into Lily. He asked if she knew where
Ava was, and Lily said no. She informed him that Ava was upset when she got
home the night before, and Jon admitted it was his fault she was upset. He
dropped the ring box, and Lily picked it up, realizing he had proposed. She
began to hyperventilate, and began counting until she calmed down. He asked
her if she is still okay with him being with Ava. Lily quickly went back
into the house, and moments later Ava walked up. Ava apologized to Jon for
running out on him, and Jon exclaimed what had just happened with Lily. Ava
was upset she wasn't the one to tell her. Jon told her he loved her and
gave her the ring to hold on to while she decides about whether or
not to marry him. Inside, Jack consoled a clearly upset Lily.
Erica walked into Fusion as Kendall sat alone writing another entry in
Greenlee's "journal." Erica shut the screen, surprising Kendall.
Wednesday
Erica told Kendall she had to put an end to her revenge plans, and Kendall wondered what made Erica change her tune. Erica explained that she was worried that Kendall was putting herself and her family at risk. She suggested that instead of wasting time on revenge to use that time to bond with her family. After expressing that she was craving a drink or a pill, Erica pointed out that revenge could also be an addiction. Kendall eventually said she would stop with her plans. Erica left, and Kendall immediately called Bianca, saying she needed help with Erica, and Bianca agreed to try to get Erica to come visit her in Paris. Meanwhile, Kendall typed away on her laptop.
Aidan joined Greenlee at The Comeback. She told him that she and Kendall were working on their friendship, and then asked about the case. He told her she couldn't work with him anymore because he cared too much about her to let her get hurt. Aidan made a comment about Ryan, and Greenlee realized he still thought she had feelings for Ryan. She teased him for being jealous.
JR approached Zach while he looked in on Ian. JR asked if Zach had really destroyed all of Greenlee's eggs or not. Zach didn't answer and pointed out that JR needed to do this because he owed Kendall. JR said he regretted what he did, but was still reluctant to sign on. Zach showed him "proof" that JR could use to convince Greenlee. JR was impressed, and said he was in.
Adam walked in on Colby hanging out with her band friends at the manse. He began to complain about it when Sean walked in and confronted Adam about setting him up. Adam said they should move on, and walked away. Colby followed him, and said that Sean shouldn't have brought that up in front of everyone. She asked how things went with Krystal, and Adam told her that Krystal shut him down. Colby was convinced her could get her back, and went back inside as Stuart came out. Adam asked if he outed him to Krystal, and Stuart was devastated to hear Adam was still banned. Inside, the kids looked at pictures for the album. Adam joined them, and Corinna sang for him.
Krystal introduced herself to Hannah, congratulating her on beating Tad.
Krystal confided in her about her struggles with men, and Hannah acknowledged that she'd had no luck in love either. They chatted a little longer, and Hannah excused herself, but said she enjoyed talking with Krystal, and she'd be back.
Hannah joined Zach at his office and told him she'd lied to him.
Thursday
JR joined Greenlee at The Comeback. He told her they had a lot in common — both of them were once best friends with Kendall, and they both screwed it up. Aidan walked in, and JR asked why Greenlee always went for Kendall's hand-me-downs. JR pointed out that Zach Slater had screwed them both over, and he thought it was time for some payback. Greenlee didn't want any part of his plans.
Kendall visited Ian at the hospital, and Josh walked up with Spike in his arms. He handed him over to Kendall, who told him how much she missed him. Josh could tell Kendall was upset, and Kendall explained that another preemie hadn't made it. She told Josh all about the family, and Josh did his best to reassure her. As Kendall told Spike about his little brother, a nurse came out and told them Ian had made a significant step, and then suggested that she feed him. Kendall panicked, but Josh convinced her she should do it. She handed Spike to him, and went into Ian's room. Josh looked on as Kendall fed Ian. After, she and Josh headed to Cambias to see Zach.
Zach asked what Hannah had lied about, and she said she hadn't been okay
with not having his baby. She thanked him for the most wonderful night of her life — when he made love to her, her whole life changed. Zach pointed out that her memory of that night was wrong — he had turned her down. Hannah said that was correct in reality, but in her mind they made love. She said it was hard for her to accept that he didn't love her, and after she'd left she checked into a facility where doctors could help her. She apologized and fell into his arms, sobbing. Just then, Kendall and Josh walked in, and both were taken aback.
Ryan and Annie rushed into the penthouse, both worried about why they couldn't reach anyone. Annie left a message for Julia saying they needed to get Emma home. Julia called back shortly, and said Emma was fine, she was with Babe and Little A. After she hung up, Ryan noticed Emma's picture was missing, and he thought Richie had been in their apartment. Annie panicked but then found the picture under the table where she'd moved it while cleaning.
Annie decided to call Babe to make sure they were on their way home, and while she was in the other room, Ryan called Aidan and let him know they were back. He told Aidan that Richie had been in their house, and Aidan suggested he come meet him at The Comeback.
Babe, Richie, Emma and Little A settled into a cabin as a storm erupted overhead. They were having a blast. Richie and Babe talked about their pasts, and Richie began to open up about his sister. Babe got a call from Annie, and Richie smiled. Babe said they were fine, and that her friend, the bartender at The Comeback, was with them. Emma got on the phone with Annie, and when Babe got back on, Annie asked her to bring Emma home as soon as possible. Babe hung up and asked if Wes would like to go meet Emma's mom. Wes agreed and went out to check on the storm. He came back soaked, and told her they would have to stay the night to be safe.
Annie and Ryan arrived at The Comeback with Richie's photo in hand. Greenlee recognized him, and everyone was horrified when she told them Richie was Wes — the same man who was with Babe, Emma and Little A.
Friday
At the cabin, Babe worried about not getting the kids home right away, and Richie told her she was safe with him. While Babe was outside checking the weather Annie called Babe's cell, and Wes/Richie picked it up. He sat in silence as Annie asked questions. Annie quickly realized it was probably Richie and called his name. He dropped the phone and broke it. Babe came back in and was upset to find her phone was broken, but was also impressed by how good he was with the kids. Wes suggested they head out, since Emma's mother must be nervous. Babe was spooked by thunder, clearly thinking back to the night she and Bianca gave birth in a storm, and was uneasy leaving while the storm still raged. Babe told Wes about Annie, and how much she loved her daughter. Wes told her there was something he wanted to tell her, but it was hard, because he didn't want to mess things up with her. Just as he was about to tell her, Emma woke up and called Wes' name. She pointed out that they rain had stopped. Wes/Richie said he wasn't sure if he wanted to leave anymore.
Meanwhile at The Comeback, Greenlee explained to JR the danger Babe and Little A were in. JR panicked and starting making calls to get help. Colby soothed Krystal. After calling Babe's phone, Annie freaked out when she heard nothing but silence — the kids should have been making noise. Ryan and Aidan ran out. Greenlee consoled Annie and apologized for all the comments she had made about Annie having a perfect childhood. Tad tried to calm JR, and Adam soon hurried in. Then, as Tad looked on, Adam told Krystal how sorry he was for what he tried to do with Jenny, and wished he could undo it. Krystal told him she appreciated the apology, but it wouldn't fix things between them. Deflated, Adam walked away. Julia rushed in apologizing, and Tad told her no one blamed her. A detective arrived to question Annie, and soon after, Annie got a call from the bodyguard who was supposed to be watching Emma, telling her he hadn't gone with them on the picnic.
Ryan and Aidan checked out Richie's room at the Pinecone. Aidan noticed that the place was spotless, and thought it was a message from Richie that he knew they were coming. Ryan said this was exactly how Annie said Richie worked — he made you doubt yourself. Aidan discovered a picture of Emma, and then a bunch of pictures of Annie and Richie smiling together. They headed back to The Comeback.
Kendall told Zach about feeding Ian from a bottle, and Zach was thrilled.
They all sat down to eat. Hannah watched awkwardly as they all gushed about Ian. Josh whipped out some pictures, and Kendall passed them to Hannah.
Hannah told Kendall she was lucky to have him, but Kendall was unaware that Hannah was actually looking at a picture of Kendall and Zach as she said that. Hannah excused herself, and Josh followed her out. Josh asked what he and Kendall had walked in on, and Hannah told him they were talking about the night Zach rejected her. Josh apologized, and Hannah tried to throw him out, but instead, Josh kissed her. Meanwhile in Zach's office, Kendall asked what his deal was with Hannah. Zach told her the truth — Hannah had asked him to give her a child before she left town. Across the hall, a half-dressed Hannah pulled away from Josh and ran out.
Everyone at The Comeback sat in fear, waiting. Suddenly, Babe walked in with Little A, unaware that everyone was in a state of panic. Seeing Emma wasn't with her, Annie ran outside screaming Emma's name. Just then, Richie walked up with Emma in his arms.
