Monday
Frank and Randi's romantic morning was interrupted by Angie's arrival.
"We've got a wedding to plan!" she beamed. Frank was overwhelmed by the
event planning. Frank went to the hospital and shared the good news about
his upcoming wedding with Brot, who agreed to be his best man. Back at the
apartment, Angie was thrilled when Randi tried on her wedding gown. Angie
told Randi that she would gladly play the part of Randi's mom.
At the police station, David watched as Jesse interrogated Erica about Adam
and Little Adam's whereabouts. David's attorney arrived and David ordered
him to put the pressure on La Kane to come clean. Krystal, JR and Colby
watched as David burst into the interrogation room. Jack defended Erica.
Jesse tried to restore order to the proceedings. While JR and David
exchanged barbs, Jesse reminded Erica that obstruction of justice is a
serious charge. Erica used Jesse's own history to try to appeal to the cop.
Jesse told David that Erica doesn't know where Adam is. Jack told JR and
Colby to keep Erica out of Adam's schemes. Krystal and Erica had harsh words
for each other as David blasted Jesse for his incompetence. Erica thanked
Jack for standing by her but he told her to call someone else the next time
she needs a lawyer. JR and Erica conferred, noting that it was Little Adam's
(and Miranda's) birthday. Erica gave JR a note and Krystal spied the
transaction. Krystal reported what she had seen to David. David told his
lawyer that he wanted to press charges against Jesse and the force. He asked
for time alone with the judge and threatened to expose the judge's recent
drug overdose.
At Fusion, Kendall talked to Ryan about her mother's theory that she's being
self-destructive. They concurred that their relationship couldn't be defined
and that they were both confused about its nature. She said that she had
resisted her urge to call Zach because she knew he was with Reese. "Reese
can have him," scoffed Zach.
Reese told Zach that her vision is almost entirely restored. She told him
that she had to stop depending on him if she hoped to make things right with
Bianca. Zach went to the casino and was eager for a package to arrive. He
thought about Myrtle's sage advice regarding Kendall. Reese, meanwhile, went
to Fusion and came face-to-face with Kendall, who was icy. Ryan listened as
Reese tried to clarify to Kendall that she has zero interest in Zach. Reese
urged Kendall to fight for Zach as she planned to fight for Bianca. Erica
arrived and Reese told La Kane that by hook or by crook, she would be her
daughter-in-law again. Erica told Reese that she was truly happy for her if
what she said ‹ that she had excised the shame she had carried all the way
to the altar ‹ was true. Reese vowed to prove to Erica that she was worthy
of Bianca's love. Erica said that she would try to keep an open mind. Erica
told Ryan that his bitterness toward Zach was not helpful to Kendall.
Zach and Aidan met up at the casino and Zach berated Aidan for betraying him
by not telling him about Ryan and Kendall sleeping together in Connecticut.
Zach demanded to know why Aidan had covered for Ryan. Aidan said that he was
covering for Kendall, not Ryan, and that he was hired to cover Ryan's
business moves, not his personal ones. Ryan went to the casino and told
Aidan to deliver a message to Zach: He was really to put everything he had
on the line in a challenge to Zach.
Frank saw Jesse at the hospital and warned him about the women's overzealous
wedding planning. Jesse urged Frank to go home and promised to take care of
Angela. Angie left to go get a sewing kit and Frank entered and hoisted
Randi over his shoulders and carried her out. When Angie returned, she
discovered Randi missing. Jesse showed up and told Angie that Frank and
Randi ran. Meanwhile, the justice of the peace greeted Frank and Randi.
JR reunited with Little Adam at an undisclosed location and wished his boy a
happy birthday. Erica joined them and Erica said that she had some bad news
about Adam.
Zach came to Fusion to see Kendall. She started to speak but was cut short
when he brandished a package, explaining that it was a petition for divorce.
Reese wrote a happy birthday e-mail to Miranda, via Bianca.
Tuesday
Randi and Frank arrived at the justice of the peace. Angie and Jesse showed
up soon thereafter to serve as witnesses. Natalia, Brot and Taylor followed.
As the gals prepped Randi for the ceremony, Jesse noticed that Nat was down
(she was missing her mother). Jesse consoled her. Frank and Randi exchanged
emotional vows.
Ryan went to the casino to issue a challenge to Zach via Aidan.
At the hospital, confidential DNA results arrived for Jake. Someone
intercepted them. Jake wheeled Amanda in to her sonogram appointment then
picked up the envelope, which had possibly been tampered with. Ryan, Aidan
and Jack convened as Jake broke the news that the results showed that the
body was Greenlee's. A devastated Jack hoped that the other men would stop
fighting now that there was nothing to fight about. He wanted Greenlee's
remains released to him as soon as possible.
David blackmailed a judge into putting out a warrant for JR and Adam's
arrests on kidnapping charges. David got a call with good news. David
assured Krystal that Little Adam would soon be theirs.
At the hideaway, Erica informed JR that Adam had collapsed and was in the
hospital. Erica discouraged JR from going to see him in Philadelphia. Noting
Erica's concern, JR suggested that Erica truly loved Adam. She denied it,
saying that she owed him one because his Fusion investment had tanked....
Krystal got a call from JR's cell phone: It was Little Adam. Little A
informed Krystal that he was going on a trip. A frantic Krystal asked where
he was going, but Little A hung up. Krystal raced to the mansion, where
Colby insisted that JR and Little A weren't there. Colby broke a bottle over
Krystal's head to stop her from pursuing JR when she spied him on the patio.
JR and Little A sped off, pursued by a police car.
Kendall reeled when Zach presented her with divorce papers at Fusion. Zach
claimed that Kendall was still in love with Ryan. Zach spat that he was glad
that Greenlee wasn't there to see what kind of friend Kendall was. Kendall
begged Zach not to give up on their union but he indicated that what they
had was in the past. Zach said that they'd both been holding on, but it was
time for him to let go. He handed her the papers and left.
Erica saw Jake at the hospital in search of a recommendation for a
specialist. David showed up so Erica covered, saying she was seeking a
doctor for Kendall. David told Erica that there was a warrant out for David
and JR's arrests.
Ryan was surprised to find Kendall waiting for him at the penthouse. She
informed Ryan that Zach wants a divorce. He told her about the DNA results.
A grief-stricken Ryan caused some damage to his own property as he lashed
out about his beloved's demise. Kendall reached out to him tenderly....
At the casino, Aidan informed Zach of Ryan's challenge. "I'm kind of looking
forward to it," said Zach. He went home and learned from Rachel that Kendall
wasn't coming home that night. Zach sat down with Spike and tried to explain
what was going on between him and Spike's mommy.
At the sonogram appointment, Jake tried to keep Amanda's spirits up. David
had his mole summon Jake away so that David could enter, much to Amanda's
displeasure. Jake reentered in time to see David intimidating Amanda.
Wednesday
Angie examined Krystal at the hospital. Krystal was worried because David
was nowhere to be found. Tad swept in and tried once more to get Krystal to
see what a mistake she was making by staying with David. He also blasted
Krystal for trying take Little Adam away from JR.
At the police station, David demanded to know where his grandson was. Jesse
said that with JR behind bars, Little Adam had been placed in foster care.
When David threatened Jesse, Jesse menaced him back and threw him out of the
station.
David went to the hospital and Angie read him the riot act for taking so
long to check on his wife's condition. David dismissed Angie, who
commiserated with Tad about how far gone Krystal is. David arrived at
Krystal's bedside and David claimed that he'd gotten updates on Krystal's
condition every 30 minutes, but the police had made him turn off his
phone.... Tad encountered Opal, who was unable to shake the feeling that
Greenlee's soul was distressed, cold and alone.
In an interrogation room, Colby and JR were both in handcuffs. JR told Colby
that from now on, she had to let him handle things. Colby was crushed when
JR revealed that Adam is in the hospital. Jesse released Colby, who was
reluctant to leave her brother, but JR assured her that everything would be
fine. Once alone with Jesse, JR told Jesse that Adam was in the hospital but
refused to say where. JR begged Jesse to let him go.
Kendall and Ryan were in bed together at the penthouse. She bemoaned that
her house no longer felt like her home. Ryan said that he couldn't do "this"
anymore. She tried to convince him that what they were doing was perfectly
fine but it didn't work. She left. Corrina brought Emma home and she
snuggled with her daddy. Jack called and asked Ryan to meet him at the
hospital. When he got there, Jack had Greenlee's ashes in an urn. Ryan
approved of Jack's concept of spreading the ashes on the beach but told Jack
that he felt Jack should do it alone.
Erica was delighted to find Zach back at home. Zach said that Kendall hadn't
slept there the night before and that they were getting a divorce. Erica was
strongly displeased. Zach maintained that Kendall is still in love with Ryan
and that it was too late to save his marriage. Kendall returned home and
Zach berated her for having left the boys with Rachel. Erica urged them to
stop bickering, but Zach walked out, noting that there was nothing left to
say. Erica chastised Kendall for driving Zach away and beseeched her to end
things with Ryan. Kendall admitted that she didn't know how to choose
between the men and suggested that she needed to be alone. Erica said that
Kendall wouldn't be able to be alone and wondered which man Kendall would
call after the boys went to bed and she was by herself. After La Kane left,
Kendall had flashbacks of her romances with Zach and Ryan and threw a pillow
off the couch in frustration. She thought about Erica's words as she stared
at the phone. Zach went to the casino and watched surveillance footage of
Ryan issuing the challenge to Zach via Aidan.
Zach went to the penthouse and warmly greeted Emma. Ryan returned home with
a new friend for Emma: a kitten. He sent Emma, the kitten and Corrina off,
then demanded to know why Ryan was there.
Angie went to the station and told Jesse that she'd had a run-in with David.
"He's an idiot," scoffed David. Jesse said that he had found the perfect
place for Little A to stay: "With us."
JR called Adam and told him that he's in jail. JR panicked when Adam was too
distraught to speak.
Opal saw Jack with the urn at the hospital. Jack and Opal went to the water
with Greenlee's ashes. Jack recalled the day he and Greenlee had connected
on that very shore. Opal looked heavenward as Jack spread Greens's ashes.
Thursday
JR was worried when the physician tending to Adam said that he would have to
call back due to an apparent emergency with Adam's health. Erica arrived to
post bail but Jesse said that the judge wouldn't release JR on bail,
thinking he was a flight risk. Jesse assured Erica that Little A was being
well taken care of. Erica wanted Jesse to change the rules to allow her to
see JR. Jesse relented and JR updated Erica on what had happened on the
phone with Adam.
At the Hubbard house, Little A told Angie that he wanted to go home. He
tried to run but was intercepted by Natalia. Nat quickly won the boy over.
Jesse returned home to a happy domestic scene. Frank and Randi returned home
early from their honeymoon and Frank played with his old train set with
Little A. Frank and Randi explained that plane troubles had grounded them.
Frank told Randi he was sorry that their honeymoon had been a bust. Randi
insisted that she was happy just to be with him. Angie walked in on them
kissing and made herself scarce.
At the hospital, Jake tried to stop David from having Krystal released.
David was eager to get Krystal to leave and Krystal told him that she didn't
want to do anything illegal. Colby arrived and apologized to Krystal for
attacking her; Krystal forgave her. Erica approached Jake and learned that
David and Krystal had gone to the courthouse, which struck her as odd, since
the courthouse was closed.... David and Krystal went to the courthouse and
met with the judge, whom David was blackmailing. Krystal told the judge that
she and David truly loved and wanted to protect Little A. After they left,
La Kane entered and flirted with the judge, then revealed that she had seen
David and Krystal leaving, and it was illegal for him to be consorting with
them before the trial. Erica wanted the judge to get JR released so that he
could get a good night's rest before the trial, and failing that, he should
recuse himself from the trial. The judge reluctantly ordered Jesse to
release JR from jail.
David made plans to fill Wildwind with toys for his grandson. David and
Krystal basked in their happiness, certain that Little A would soon be home
with them. Erica came over and informed David that there had been a change
of plans with the custody hearing scheduled for the next day. She broke the
news that JR was out of jail and that the judge had been replaced. David was
indignant.
Jesse told JR that he had been released. He added that he couldn't tell
him where his son was but reiterated that he was in good hands.
Kendall tried to get Ryan on the phone as he and Zach were trading threats
at the penthouse. Kendall left a message saying that she couldn't let Ryan
go. Ryan informed Zach that he had orchestrated a takeover of Cambias. Zach
accused Ryan of having welcomed Greenlee's demise as an excuse to take him
down. Ryan said that he wanted Greens to cop to responsibility for
Greenlee's death and told Zach to clean out his office. Zach said that
Greens would be embarrassed by Ryan's behavior. After Zach stormed out, Ryan
listened to Kendall's message, in which she said she was going to leave town
with the boys for a while. She asked him to come stop her if she wanted to
be with him.... As Kendall prepared to leave, she had flashbacks to happy
family times at the house with Zach and the boys. Ryan showed up, "late, but
not too late." He and Kendall embraced.
Zach got confirmation of the Cambias takeover. When Aidan entered, Zach
decked him, knocking him to the ground. Zach told Ryan the deal was out,
Annie be damned. After dismissing Devane, one of Zach's staffers told him
that the employees felt that if he was leaving, they would leave, too. Zach
told them to keep their jobs. Zach decided to take two things with him:
Myrtle's picture and his autographed Red Wings jersey.
Friday
Tad, Colby and Erica supported JR on the morning of the custody hearing. Erica admitted to Colby that she loves Adam "like ice cream." Colby told JR that she wanted Erica to be in love with their dad.
At the courthouse, Tad greeted Jesse and they talked about the importance of keeping Little Adam with JR. Jesse assured Tad that the boy was in good hands. When the hearing got underway, JR spoke first, testifying that he was sober. David stood up and assailed JR's parenting. The judge made him sit down. Krystal testified about finding Little Adam drunk. She said that while JR loves his son, he can't provide a stable environment for him. JR told the court that Babe had wanted nothing to do with David, inspiring David to physically attack JR. The judge was unamused. Tad testified on JR's behalf and David denied Tad's claim that David's custody bid was about revenge, not about the best interests of Little A. The judge decided that Little A would remain with his foster parents.
Krystal tried to reassure David that they would prevail at the custody hearing. Krystal made it clear that she would prefer for David to play nice as opposed to, say, poisoning the opposition. David wondered why he always plays dirty. At the courthouse, they exchanged barbs with JR.
The morning after Ryan slept over at Kendall's, Kendall learned of Ryan's Cambias takeover and wondered why he hadn't told her. She accused Ryan of having killed Zach, metaphorically speaking. Ryan was able to calm Kendall down and went to the casino, where he addressed the staff about the changes he intended to make.
A melancholy Zach noted to Myrtle's portrait that he had lost everything (his company, his wife). Erica arrived and tried to dissuade Zach from throwing in the towel on his marriage. Zach said that he had nothing to live for, which Reese heard as she entered. Erica said it was a private conversation but Reese would not be deterred, reminding Zach that he had his kids to live for. Reese's impassioned pep talk about fighting for his children impressed Erica and seemed to make an impression on Zach, as well. Erica told Reese that Zach had needed to hear what Reese had said. Reese reiterated her determination to prove that she's worthy of being in her kids' lives. Zach went downstairs and challenged Ryan to a game of Texas Hold 'Em. Ryan asked what the stakes were. "The thing I love most," replied Zach.
At the Hubbard loft, Little A told Natalia that he misses his mom. Nat told the boy that her mom was in heaven, too.... Brot and Taylor discussed Frank and Randi's canceled honeymoon with Angie. Brot came up with an idea. He and Taylor went to Frank and Randi's place and decorated it for a surprise Hawaiian-themed party. Brot told Taylor that he wanted to propose to her again, someday. Back at the loft, Randi and Frank discussed having kids one day.... Randi and Frank were touched when they returned home to find Brot and Taylors surprise. They danced and made love. At the hospital, Brot apologized to Taylor for not proposing to her. Taylor asked if his feelings for her had changed. He said that they hadn't, but that he had things to figure out before they wed.
