Opportunity Knocks, the third novel from DAYS alum Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami), is available today in stores and online. Continuing her theme of giving a behind the scenes peek into Hollywood, this book focuses on a makeup artist. "Makeup artists deal with the craziest people sometimes, so this book is really fun and gossipy and has some great you-can’t-believe-people-really-behave-this-way type stories,” Sweeney tells Digest. "The other thing that I really love about this novel is that New York is a big character. I just loved taking my perception of New York as, like, the ultimate L.A. girl, and how I see this beautiful city and how the character discovers it through her eyes.
