I've always thought Alexis was basically a decent woman & despite her taste in men, an intelligent woman, as well. But, her behavior since hearing of Jerry's involvement in Michael's shooting is both baffling & disheartening. She's always been the law & order DA, dragging people in & throwing them in jail with little or no evidendce. Here she has a well respected man in Jax, confiding his brother's latest crime. Instead of trying to convince him of the flaws in his reasoning, she agrees to keep quiet about Jerry's involvement. So, there goes her legal ethics. By agreeing to keep silent, she also neglects to point out that knowledge after the fact is also a crime & so is witholding evidence in a felony.
If that's not bad enough, she goes, alone & unarmed, to the garage, apparently to confront a known & dangerous sociopath & finds both him & another alleged criminal lying unconscious on the ground several feet away from the point of origin, Jerry's car & cannot figure out who the intended target was. She can see that Jerry was holding the keys in his hand, yet she still can't figure that out.
I am disappointed that the writers have dumbed down this character to add to a go nowhere plot that is best forgotten. I'm disheartened that they've destroyed the one reliably solid thing Alexis had going for her & that was her legal expertise & ethics. I am saddened that, instead of telling Jax all the reasons why covering for Jerry was a bad idea, she went along with it. Not only are the writers in the process of ruining a complex & interesting character, but they are doing it to continue a boring & irritating storyline. It's a waste of Ms. Grahn's talent.
Yes, but she wasn't spouting off all the time then, telling everyone how to live their life & she does now. She's also supposedly learned from her mistakes. As for her thing with Jerry, she was into him, but she was also working him & was planning on busting him at the time that he faked his death.At this point, she should be explaining to Jax (she says he's her best friend as often as Carly says that about Jason), that he's committing several felonies by not coming forward with what he knows about Michael's shooting. She should also explain that if he's brought up on federal charges for witholding evidence, etc., that it could end up hurting Carly more than knowing the truth now. He claims he's done with his brother & Alexis is supposedly horrified by Jerry's behavior. So, why is she going along with Jax on this, also putting her career on the line?As for the guy she killed, that was Luis Alcazar & supposedly, it was self-defense, but there were no witnesses & she faked insanity, so she never went to jail. Ironically, when she was seeing the shrink, she discovered she had PTSD.

Ironically, when she was seeing the shrink, she discovered she had PTSD. Killing Luis was pure revenge for 1) killing her sister Kristina and 2) leaving her while she was in labor with Kristina. Pushing someone over a balcony is not self-defense. It's just good old fashion revenge.
Yeah. All that was missing were the silver bullet & the holy water.

Didn't she lose the battle with ethics a long time ago? Like the time she murdered the other gangster's brother (I forget his name), or when she decided to get involved with Jerry in the first place after he held the whole town including her daughter hostage in the hotel, etc, etc, etc,
