Big time! Look I hate and loathe and despise the character of Annie and am no fan of the actress, but to use an attempted rape as a plot point against this character is a major offense even for this character that I would rather see dead. Don't question my logic here, I don't understand it either .

Granted Annie should have been written out a long time ago or killed off but I certainly don't want to see a female character being attacked and using that attack to further a plot that isn't very interesting to begin with or to have the so called hero have an epiphany about his feelings for this smirking wretch of a character. It isn't going to make me sympathize with her either.

Rape is a serious offense, just like murder, but to treat this attempt at rape like someone just accidently bumped into you at the store is outrageous. JR had the attacker apologize? He just pats him on the head and says go forth and sin no more? What kind of lame a$$ thing is that?

Attempted rape or the fait accompli is a crime, not a plot point. This is the second time this has happened on AMC. A few years ago Kendall was attacked in her hotel room, and it was never addressed. It was a plot point. And oh guess who were the writers? Esenten and Brown! Two dialogue writers currently on AMC. What a coincidence!

I am truly trying to give this train wreck a chance but the writers are not helping by insulting and offending viewers, the majority who are females. It's bad enough almost all of the characters are just unlikable, but to add insult to injury, the writers are now just irresponsible.

Amen. Irresponsible is just too good a word...though it certainly fits. Summer comes and more teenagers are free to watch soaps and they see that no one thinks an attempted rape is serious enough to do something about???? It's really just simply disgusting morality and inexcusable.

It's not just the writers, it's ABC daytime in general...They've been irresponsible and downright disgusting in regards to serious issues like this for years...starting with:Ryass abuse of women....... They glorify it...Make it the victims faults...and continue to call him the good guy, saint, hero, while his victims are to blame....GL kidnapping a child is just fine because her victim will pay the price...Kendall's attempted rape was horrific.... AM and the actor who played the rapist did a great job, but AMC decided that a child of rape, whose mother & sister were rape, who has issues with this very thing was no big deal..... the focused more on the pole dancing BS and KEndall's supposed betrayal of all......Now, you get Annie being attacked and again, they go for crap...ABC daytime continues to slap victims/women in the face sending a very sick, disturbing message.....Socially relevant issues told in a positive way with a positive message ended when Brian Frons came to ABC.....It's sick, it's sad, but it Frons ABC...
