Because he hates anything that Victor loves. beneath all of this is a very spoiled child that feels HE is the one entitled to all his fathers love, $$, attention. Cause of how Victor was with Hope, and let her go to be independant, Hope wanted no parts of Victor's TRUE world...Adam feels he never got the chance to be a real Newman and that he was cheated out of it. That's why.....

I've not really understood Adam since Day 1, seems to have a little bit of an anger issue..But, by playing Ashley, Adam connects 2 very diverse dots in his life, Victor & Jack. They both allowed him to be cooked, fried & sent to jail. So it makes sense he wants to strike out at both & the 1 person he can hurt that effects both is Ashley.I do wonder what Adam's plans towards Boring Heather are, I'm not buying this "romance" between those 2, maybe on her part, but not his. Adam is living for revenge, so I figure Jack, Victor & Heather have to be his primary targets.

wishing someone dead and actually trying to bring insanity to someone are really not the same. I think it is time for us to learn what this is about. The story has no reasoning. I can't FF but I often go find something else to do when he is on. It is obvious that he is falling over furniture just to appear blind....let's get this story some facts

He's doing something to himself so that he can remain blind or nearly blind. I'm thinking he doesn't really have RP and it was all part of his plot to get back at Victor. I agree he's doing this to get back and both Jack and Victor and Ashley is a perfect bird with one stone kind of a thing. When he hugged her last week, he almost looked like he had a twinge of guilt. (Almost! ) I think he likes the getting over on everyone more than he cares about who it is really. He was so smuggly pleased with himself when he successfully got that phone message to work. I also agree that he feels like he was robbed of the benefits of being a Newman while growing up. Of course, if you talked to Nick and Victoria I'm sure they wouldn't be so quick to wish alot of their "benefits" as true benefits. Granted they had all that money could buy but Adam had true uncondentionaly love from his mother which Nick/Vic can't say they got from the Stache. Anyhoo....just my 2 cents.

i think adam's reasons are that he knows how much victor loves ashley and he feels as though this is the best way to hurt him(victor) is to drive ashley crazy and unlitmately causing her to lose her baby...however he doesnt know who he's dealing with but then again only victor newman could create someone as devious as himself
