No one on this board (Y+R) attacks the personal character of any actor portraying any of the parts. We may not like them in a specific role, but that doesn't mean we'll diss them on a personal level.
As for the NUMAC thread, for almost every poster, the fact Ms.Ford may lead a lifestyle we either do or don't support had no bearing on anyone liking or disliking her portrayl of Mac. about 99.9% of us just felt she didn't fit the "Mac" we knew & expected to revisit upon her return. Now Adam's role is rife w/controversy, I had problems with the manner in which his character was traveling long before this happened.
So censoring me or other posters & advising us to go somewhere else if we don't like it, well, after all the $$ I've spent supporting SOD, I take that at face value of being the most insulting lack of Customer Service I've run into in a very long time. You don't like our opinions, but you loved my $$, which I might add helped support SOD, which enables them to even have this website. I can pick my battle's, I'd prefer not to, which is why I've come to this forum, but don't insult my intelligence or my patronage of SOD with the type of insults & we're God & you're not posts I've read on this thread.

Can anyone confirm if Lynn Leahey is still running things at SOD & SOW? I right now, don't care if it makes a difference, intend to write her & explain my need to cancel a 25yr subscription of SOD. As I say, she may not give a fig newton, but with mags/papers having trouble in this www.world, she may care enough to at least show the courtesy of reading the bully tactics being used. There is a nice way & not nice way of asking for anything, power playing has no place on a chat "friendly" board, not by posters or TPTB.

Maybe they should spend a week on one of the other soap boards, they'd be soooo happy they only have to deal with us. This is the nicest board on the planet, the folks on here have done a dang good job of governing themselves, when someone cross's "that line" of good taste they've had us to deal with & we've always managed, in a very non-threatening manner to let them know it's not acceptable & to either stop or go away. No bloodshed or insults required.As I said, there's a nice way to do things or the bully mentality of doing things, can get much further doing it the nice way.

I've addressed this issue with Mala and Joe. I think the actions they tookto make this environment comfortable and friendly for everyone had theopposite effect, and I'm sorry about that. We should all be able to expressour opinions, in a way that is respectful of others who feel differently,and I hope we can continue to do that. This is no way to start a holidayweekend! I appreciate sometimes being a moderator can be a thankless job, but, as I stated previously, we've done a good job at monitoring any "evil" that comes our way, we also always take other posters opinion's & thoughts, that we may disagree with, in the spirit of this being a discussion board, which means we should be allowed to agree or disagree with one another, but we also make the effort to do it in a respectful manner.
