- When I was 18, I trained on the Spanish web, which is a 20-foot rope with a loop on top. I hung upside down, being held by just the loop, doing spins and gymnastic moves. Oh, and without a net.
- I’m a very fast knitter, but I was taught the German way, so it looks like I’m knitting backwards to the American eye.
- I have a genetic thing called “a naturally broken arm” that my grandmother and my mother had, and my two sons also have. If I put my arm out so that my palm is up, I can turn my palm down and the crook of my elbow doesn’t move.
- I’m obsessed with cars, especially antique cars, as well as sport cars and trucks. I love going to car shows.
- I’m horrible with anything that has to do with a ball. I just have this lack of hand/eye coordination.
- I have the extraordinary knack for picking the perfect watermelon, but I don’t have the same success with avocados.
- I’ve been told I drive like a guy because I tend to speed, which Lauralee Bell [Christine] can corroborate. When I was 16, I was driving her around the canyons and several years later, she told me that I scared the daylights out of her because I was going so fast.
- I’m very intuitive with my animals and can tell what’s wrong with them when they’re not feeling well.
- Love it or hate it, I do my own hair color, including my streaks, and I use products from the drugstore.
- I was born in London and came to this country when I was 11 with an English accent, although when I use it now, it’s gotten a little AB FAB.
