- The first Broadway show I ever saw was Starlight Express. One of my mom’s co-workers — he was a custodian at her job — one day said, “Do you want to come see my show?” He was the lead! I remember the lights going down, and this burst of music and light, and I thought, “This is what I want to do!”
- I am notorious for putting things on backward. I do it all the time. It’s really embarrassing.
- I keep angel cards in my dressing room for inspiration, and I leave them out for other people who happen to be using the room on a day I’m not working.
- I love summer. I love the heat, the humidity, and I love the feeling that everyone gets to slow down a bit.
- My favorite perfume is called Secret Sucré by Molinard, which I got when we were in Monte Carlo a couple of years ago.
- I crochet. I used to do it on set a lot [during her run as GUIDING LIGHT’s Christina] but I don’t do it as much because I don’t live in cold weather anymore. It’s great because it’s something you can do, put down and then pick up again very easily.
- I once ran into Stevie Wonder in Whole Foods. I had just seen him, like, two nights before in concert for the very first time. I turned the corner and he was picking out juice or something and I was like, “Oh, my God!”
- My favorite place is Hawaii, but there’s so much more traveling I would love to do. I’d go to Vietnam, Thailand, India, West and East Africa.
- The dream role I would love to play is Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.
- My favorite holiday is New Year’s because as a kid, I loved being able to stay up late and spend time with my cousins and now, I like the idea of taking stock of the year gone by and thinking about what I want to put into the year that’s coming up.
