When FAMILY MATTERS wrapped, Bryton took a break from acting, finishing up school and traveling through Europe. Bryton has performed live on various international networks, as well as on the Disney Channel and other major broadcast networks in the United States.

Bryton was cast as Devon Hamilton on YOUNG AND RESTLESS in 2004; the character was a troubled teenager who had bounced around foster homes until he was taken in and ultimately adopted by the Winters family. In 2007 he won a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the show. Bryton's Y&R gig also landed him nominations for NAACP Image Awards as Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
