So, I don't know about you, but I am really excited about the news that Ricky Paull Goldin is coming to Pine Valley as Dr. Jake Martin. This may have a little something to do with the fact that long before I was a Digest editor, I was a diehard ANOTHER WORLD fan who fell hook, line, and sinker for the love story between his Dean and Alla Korot's Jenna.

Sometimes things get a little nutty when getting in touch with an actor is involved. Yesterday (March 19) I had to talk to OLTL's John Brotherton for a news story. I was told that he could talk at 8:20 a.m. because he and John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex) would be driving toward a golf course in New Jersey. Okay, I could do that. I get up early. No problem.

I'm digging GL's location shoots (although the sound quality stinks), which has me wondering why B&B, which takes place in L.A. and features such known-around-the-world locales as Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Malibu doesn't venture outside more often.

Yesterday I felt like the luckiest girl in the world when I had the pleasure of interviewing John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex, OLTL) and John Brotherton (Jared, OLTL) in one day. Lavoisier is always good for a laugh, a behind-the-scenes anecdote and even a juicy spoiler, but soap newcomer Brotherton is doing a darn good job of keeping up.

I rave about Y&R for a few reasons in the issue of Weekly that hits stands this week (you'll have to pick it up and find out why), but that doesn't necessarily mean the show is pitch perfect. In fact, I have some big ol' problems with the show at times.
