So, did you happen to catch Patrick's video blog on GH? Personally, I thought it was great. Patrick babbled on just like a real guy would who was facing his fears about impending fatherhood.

This past Tuesday, I was lucky enough to jaunt down to AS THE WORLD TURNS' studio to interview Cyndi Lauper and watch her film scenes (and songs!) that will air in July. Cyndi. Lauper. I can't even tell you the surreal awesomeness of that. In fact, I still haven't even processed that I actually MET a music icon. (But I sort of attribute that to the fact that David Cook is the only musician on my radar right now. I have more Cookie songs on the iPod than Cyndi ones. LOL.) Not only did I, along with other reporters, get to meet her, but we sat in the Snyder kitchen while doing it ... and that was completely hilarious, too, because I was like, "Oh, look, that's the counter where Lily hid Dusty's gun, and the cabinet where Holden stuffed the syringe, and...." Why, yes, I'm a complete dork — and my chair was right in front of the shelf where Lily stuffed her Dusty mementoes. Cyndi Lauper and the Snyder kitchen ... It's a definite combination for squee.

LOST wraps up the regular TV season tonight with a top-secret two-hour finale that nevertheless reportedly has been leaked to the Internet. Despite the best efforts of the-powers-that-be, a beat-by-beat breakdown apparently was posted on at least one Web site. I have zealously avoided spoiling myself, so I do not know if what was posted is accurate. Nevertheless, hearing about the leak got me thinking about spoilers and the lengths some producers go to in order to fight them — or not. Consider this conversation I had with HOUSE creator David Shore.

I am a very big fan of birthdays (since mine usually falls on Memorial Day Weekend, we call it Birthday Weekend at my house).

This is hardly a new revelation, but I'll say it again: Sam Bennett wins the prize of being the most clueless cop ever! During his brief visit to the hospital (to question Sheridan about being pushed over a waterfall by Vincent), Alistair was shot and killed, Viki stabbed Ivy with a syringe, and Vincent (whom Sheridan revealed is alive) was right there in the hospital in Valerie mode.

Talk about old home week in Llanview! I just got off the phone with Andrea Evans to discuss her upcoming return as OLTL's Tina. And before that, I spoke with Susan Haskell about returning to the role of Marty! Could you imagine? I grew up in awe of those two powerhouses and it is just the strangest thing to hear their voices on the other line.

WOW! That's all I can say after catching up on a week's worth of DAYS over the weekend.

Just finished watching OLTL, my show, my favorite soap. I'm watching GH out of the corner of my eye, but my concentration is often disturbed by some of these reality shows that are coming up this summer.

Okay, I'll admit that the main reason I tuned in to the season finale of UGLY BETTY was to scope out celebrity train wreck Lindsay Lohan (ex-Alli, ANOTHER WORLD), and my curiosity was rewarded almost immediately. There's LiLo right at the top of the show, playing Kimberly, a high school classmate of Betty's, in a flashback to 1999 (wait — what is this, LOST?). Betty is recalling what happened to her in gym class during one of those infamous dodgeball games that seems to have irrevocably scarred every writer in Hollywood. Gee, I wonder if Lindsay is playing a mean girl? Kimberly selected Betty for her team — to serve as a human shield. So, yes, she's playing a mean girl. Hmmm, that was a short segment. Surely there will be more of her…

I'm really digging the idea of a Mallet/Marina pairing on GL. The sexual tension they share both on- and off-duty is fun and flirty.
