How great was DAYS's Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) in last week's scenes with Kristian Alfonso's Hope? It's almost hard to believe that this was the same character who was so hate-able when she first came to Salem. I spoke with Melvin the morning she received her well-deserved Emmy nomination and also praised her for the scenes. The modest actress confided that she had received a lot of compliments about them, but was embarrassed. "It was compliment overload and I don't know how to deal with it," she laughed. "But it's really nice!" I am also surprised by how much I am enjoying the Morgan/Philip flirtation. Do these two have chemistry, or what? I'd love to see this develop into something more....
