By Danielle McClure Posted: May 28, 2010Confession: I'm kind of bored with ATWT right now. Sure, the Vienna/Casey/Henry/Barbara quad is fun and I really enjoyed the special tribute to Lisa's 50 years in Oakdale. Seriously, after covering GL for so long, it's such a delight seeing actual flashbacks used for such occasions and I know I'm in the minority here, but I dug the quirky, creative way ATWT incorporated other cast members to portray Lisa and her former loves at various stages in her life. Maybe I'm just a sucker for all those stylish MAD MEN-like wardrobes and '60s-inspired hairstyles.
But I digress. My point is that ATWT's finale is just a little over four months away and what's happening on-screen now seems to be a huge lull before everything starts to pick up. I still don't care about Craig's sudden son Gabriel (or Parker or Liberty for that matter), although I will admit I love seeing Lucinda's claws come out and there has been some fantastic, hilarious dialogue as she faces off against Craig. Plus, thank goodness Elizabeth Hubbard is back on the screen in a greater capacity these days. She's fabulous. The Dusty/Janet and Jack/Carly storylines continue to be yawn-inducing and although I know there's some seriously good stuff ahead regarding the Molly/Holden/Silas drama, I'm admittedly nonplussed with, well, everything. Which is why I'm super stoked for all these returns to actually start happening. Adding Sierra, Lucy, Will, Gwen, Iris, Abby and especially John back into the mix will definitely ignite some serious drama. And I can't wait to see the you-know-what hit the fan.
