I really don't get B&B's Taylor. When it comes to her son, Thomas, she's like the worst helicopter parent ever. For months, she's been freaking out over the mere idea of Brooke "seducing" her child — so much so that she implored Ridge to turn Brooke and Thomas's plane around when the pair went to Europe on business. (Fortunately, Ridge didn't listen.) She acts as if Thomas is 12 and Brooke is a predator when he's in his 20s and seems to know how to handle the ladies just fine. Granted, Thomas's little crush on Brooke was creepy, though he's moved on with Dayzee.

On the other hand, Taylor just sort of shrugged when her daughter, Steffy, admitted that she has the hots for Bill, who is married to Katie. Isn't Taylor, a shrink, concerned that gorgeous, sophisticated, rich Steffy, who could probably get a date with anyone in Los Angeles, keeps going after unavailable men like Oliver, Liam and now Bill? I guess because Taylor has spent much of her time pining after Ridge — even when he was with other women — Steffy's issues don't seem like that big a deal to her. Still, I wish that we'd get more of an explanation as to why Taylor is obsessed with her son, to the point where it's sometimes uncomfortable, but is a lot more laid-back when it comes to her daughter. Dysfunctional families are interesting to watch, but I'd love to get more insight into the dynamics between Taylor and her kids.
