Yesterday, before I had the pleasure of interviewing Michael Nouri (Caleb, AMC), I dug out some old photographs of the actor in his SEARCH FOR TOMORROW days. He played Steve on the defunct sudser, netting a Daytime Emmy nom before his character succumbed to leukemia ("with no hope of resurrection," Nouri intoned). Because I'm light on SFT knowledge, I spent some time today on youtube. There, I stumbled upon this delightful clip, featuring the late Sherry Mathis as Liza, who is in mourning for Steve, and just had to share — the song that plays over the flashbacks was written and performed by Nouri, whose real-life musical gifts were incorporated into his aspiring singer/song-writer alter ego's.
