Last week I was fortunate enough to snag a ticket to Tuc Watkins's (David, OLTL) new play, White's Lies, at Manhattan's New World Stages. It was such a treat to see one of my favorite OLTL actors in a completely different medium (and only four rows away). His stage role is not unlike David, what with all the lying and elaborate scheming that's at the center of the play, but his character has a little more sincerity when he's hit by Cupid's Arrow (which we like to see happen on OLTL but rarely get to). Watkins, of course, gets to be very, very funny, especially in scenes with TV comic Peter Scolari (BOSOM BUDDIES) and Broadway legend Betty Buckley (Cats), and the laughs are plentiful. Check out the Web site, whitesliesonstage.com, for more info and to purchase tickets.
