It's 2:59 p.m., EDT, and Charlie Gibson has just broken in to the ABC lineup. He's telling us about the earthquake in the Los Angeles airing. I, however, knew about it about ten minutes earlier. I was talking to Y&R's Chris Engen (Adam) when the earthquake hit. "That's weird. There was just an earthquake," he said as he paused during the interview. Engen was okay but when we hung up he was going to check out his place for damages.
