Singing music from the ’80s, the Top 8 needed to take these songs, contemporize them, and make them their own. DeAndre started off the show strong, singing DeBarge's "I Like It"; Colton changed up Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time", staying true to his rocker identity; Skylar wowed the audience with her incredible range, singing the classic, "Wind Beneath My Wings"; and Jessica continued her powerhouse vocals with the late great Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know". Joshua ABSOLUTELY KILLED Simply Red's "If You Don't Know Me By Now", clearly standing out from the rest of the pack. After many great performances and a number of interesting duets, it was time to get down to business Thursday night. "After the nationwide vote", Hollie, Elise, and (surprisingly) DeAndre found themselves in the bottom three. After Hollie was declared safe and sent back to the couches, Elise and DeAndre waited to learn their fates. DeAndre was eventually told he had received the lowest number of votes and, after singing for his life, was unfortunately not given the save. What do you think of the elimination? Do you think DeAndre should have stayed, especially after giving one of his best performances of the season? Let me know on Twitter, @robbierosenlive!. Talk to y'all soon, can't believe we're down to the Top 7...this season is flying by!!!

Talk soon!
