Hoover Cleans Up
By Lynn Leahey Posted: Apr 19, 2011Hoover left its competition in the dust with its immediate, personal response to the news that AMC and OLTL were being canceled. Fans frustrated and feeling powerless were thrilled by the company's announcement that they are pulling advertising from ABC in protest (to sum up viewers' response: "WOO HOO!"). At a time when it's increasingly difficult to break through advertising clutter and reach the consumer, Hoover let soap fans know they are listening, and willing to take action. Whether your soap is canceled, or your vacuum cleaner is on the fritz, that's exactly the reaction you want. Brilliant.

Talk about a bail out... HOOVER looses me and so does ABC.... Throwing my HOOVER out and buying a DYSON.. Returning to cable because ABC programming is NOT good enough for me to watch any more.... Plus I am boycotting all sponsors on ABC....
It seems that Hoover is "cleaning-up" and receiving the goodwill and appreciation of all soap fans from across the country. Thank you, Hoover.

What we don't have enough food channels ... what are you thinking canceling 2 of the best soaps out there. I won't be watching the chew that's for sure. I'm sick of all the prime time "reality" shows at least the day time shows didn't go into reruns ... Thank God for netflix ... Please reconsider your decision and keep All My Children and One Life to Live on the air ...
