Wowza! Friday's OLTL cliffhanger was a serious doozy and I can't wait to see how things unfold from here on out. I've been waiting for nasty Clint to finally get his due for all the pain and suffering he's caused for months, and just when I (along with every other OLTL viewer) thought he was FINALLY gonna pay — Blamo! He suddenly dropped the bomb that MATTHEW murdered Eddie! Uh, what?! It's a bold move on OTL's part (if it turns out to even be true), but I'm liking the idea of Matthew having done the deed and excited to see how Nora and Bo, two of Llanview's upstanding citizens (the D.A. and the Chief of Police!) handle the situation and its fallout. Eddie Alderson has been great and hopefully this will propel him into more meaty storyline territory. I really gotta hand it to HW Ron Carlivati. The man loves an umbrella story with a slow simmering, months-long arc that pays off just when you least expect it. Just when you think you're sick of how things are playing out, he completely flips the script, brings it all full circle and adds another interesting layer or twist that draws you right back in. It's part of what makes OLTL consistently on the top in my book and the reason why the recent cancellation rumors (and they are just that at this point) really break my heart.
