By Lauren Flynn Kelly Posted: Apr 26, 2010Since the start of what looked like a John and Natalie reunion on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, I've maintained that a) it's too soon for Natalie to be moving on from losing her husband, Jared (sniff, sniff), and b) John's relationship with Marty is so ho-hum that creating a triangle with Natalie won't really have an impact. I still stand by those two arguments, yet I found myself moved by Natalie's unexpected confession on Friday's episode. After being confronted by John — who, by the way, should not be investigating the murder of his own baby — in the hospital stairwell, she admitted that she meant it when she suggested to Marty that there might have been a chance for her and John had Marty not gotten pregnant. "You know I'm right," she challenged her ex. "Because you came and kissed me. You came to my house and you kissed me." And you know? Natalie is right. After John learned he was going to be a dad, whatever he had seemed to be starting with Nat just got pushed aside, leaving Natalie out in the cold. Portrayer Melissa Archer tugged at my heartstrings as she tearfully uttered the words, "We had more than a chance. We had a future," then told him that's all been destroyed since he accused her of hurting Marty. Ouch! Where can they possibly go from here? I hate to say it, but "Jolie" has managed to pull me in once again!
