AMC Threat
By Mara Levinsky Posted: Mar 24, 2011AMC gave us a serious scare this week, and it's not necessarily out of the woods — in the absence of some sort of official announcement of the show's safety made by the network, I just have to hope that the reassuring talk EP Julie Hanan Carruthers delivered to the cast this week is where this story ends. But I do know this: The more that AMC fans take seriously the threat of the show's possible cancellation, and are moved to contact ABC to express their love for the show, as Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) has suggested they do, the better it will be for everyone. Maybe it will help save a show in danger of being axed; maybe it will simply confirm to a network already committed to keeping the show on the air that they're right to do so. But it just may accomplish something even more important, which is making viewers who care feel like they did something to show it. (If the worst happens, won't you feel better knowing that you did what you could, before it was too late?) But I'd like to echo Bobbie Eakes's (Krystal) sentiments: "A thought for all you wonderful people calling and writing the network: I truly believe that being courteous and respectful while voicing our opinions is so much more effective." So, pick up those phones and make your feelings known (nicely)!

I don't see this addressed - Why did AMC have to uproot everyone, at HUGE expense, & move to LA only to be canceled?? Disney had to klnow they were going to dump the show so why destroy the lives of all the crew, staff, actors, etc only to thumb their noses at them while junking their jobs?? I'm glad I'm too old for Disneyland! I wouldn't waste a penny on them and won't buy any of their advertised products. What a waste.
