Jason Cook was born in Somerdale, NJ, and moved to California with his family at a young age. Early in his childhood he played piano, a hobby he continued for many years. His acting career began in high school when he was asked to replace the original lead in the drama club’s production of Whodunnit. Later, Cook began working in television while he was a speech and debate major at Moorpark College. That’s when he landed the role of Shawn, son of soap icons Bo and Hope on DAYS, a role he played for seven years. He left DAYS in 2006 when his contract expired, and Cook was reunited with his former colleague Kirsten Storms (Maxie; ex-Belle, DAYS) when he joined GH in 2008.
