Raised in Warner Robins, GA, Bobbie Eakes originally moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, but before long, she got her first break in the acting biz: a role on LAVERNE & SHIRLEY. She didn't give up on singing, though, and became a member of the band Big Trouble, which performed as the house band on the syndicated series COMEDY BREAK. When the band broke up, she was offered the role of Macy on BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, which she took in 1989. She sang frequently on the show, often with co-star Jeff Trachta (ex-Thorne); their compact discs, Bold and Beautiful Duets I and II, went double-platinum in Europe, where B&B is especially popular. She left B&B in 2000 and returned two years later. In 2003, when she landed the role of AMC's Krystal, Eakes and her husband of more than a decade relocated to New York. Eakes is also the former host of the Top 20 Country Countdown for the Great American Country Network. Her official Web site is www.bobbieeakes.com.
