During the commercial breaks, they showed funny clips made just for the audience. The funniest, by far, was Bryan R. Dattilo's (Lucas, DAYS), who did a hilarious impression of Drake Hogestyn's John Black (or Juan Negro, as he calls him) as well as Lauren Koslow's Kate and Austin Peck's Austin. After the clip ended, Dattilo gamely stood up to accept the applause of the still-laughing audience.

In the beginning...The red carpet is where all the action starts for the Emmys and here's what we saw walking in.

Most Thoughtful Dad: Jack Wagner (Nick, B&B) stopped to buy food for his son on the way into the show.

Party of Six: McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan, PASSIONS) and husband Seven walked the red carpet with co-star Galen Gering (Luis) and wife, Jenna, who is also expecting.

We Are Family: Lead Actress nominee Beth Ehlers (Harley, GL) looked like a Greek goddess in a lilac stunner and walked the line with her two sisters. She shared a hug with former co-star Laura Wright (Carly, GH; ex-Cassie, GL) on the way into the show.

Father's Say: Matthew Ashford (Jack, DAYS) lamented that he couldn't bring his 8-year-old daughter with him. "She would have loved it," he sighed.

Comfort Zone: Younger Lead Actress nominee Jennifer Landon (Gwen, ATWT) is in a striking pink dress that she said is so comfortable, it feels like a bathrobe.

Girls' Night: Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC) walked the carpet with Eden Riegel (Bianca).
